Our Story

Our History

Founded in 2018 , KC Fire FC is a group of like-minded coaches collaborating together to provide an opportunity for players to learn the game of soccer in a safe and fun environment. We strive to provide a highly competitive soccer alternative at an affordable price to families.

We have teams located in Johnson County, Kansas. All of our teams have a player whose parent is a coach in the club. Although, our coaches played soccer at a high level after High School and have their coaching credentials. We are serious about soccer and understand the benefits of keeping teams together as long as the players continue to develop while being challenged. We try not to reshuffle the teams every year. Therefore, we have players who have been playing together for years.

The KC Fire FC Difference

At KC Fire FC , our primary objective is to help our players become the best soccer player they can be while they learn lessons from playing the beautiful game of soccer. We strive to use soccer to develop the character of our players in a healthy and supportive environment where everyone understands their role and contribution to the team. Our goal is for our players to become high character individuals on and off the soccer field.

We are committed to providing competitive training provided by experienced coaches (USSF licensed) who played soccer at a high level with player development as a top priority. We strive to fully develop and prepare players to compete for an opportunity to play high school and college soccer. Soccer provides players with an opportunity to solve problems and take those lessons learned beyond the playing field and apply them off the field in the form of character development.

Soccer provides many benefits that go beyond the playing field and our players can carry into adulthood:

  • Soccer players need to be fit and agile.  Most games require children to sprint after the ball and jog up and down the field, which are activities that build endurance and speed.  Dribbling and shooting the ball develops agility and coordination.
  • Playing with a soccer team develops a child’s ability to cooperate and interact with other children.
  • The ability to “read the environment” and respond with appropriate decisions is an element of soccer that is often overlooked.  We believe soccer provides players with an opportunity to solve a unique set of problems in every game.   Do I pass or shoot?  Should I delay the attack or go for the tackle?  The decision making process in soccer will help the players in all aspects of their life.
  • Playing a sport, such as soccer, helps kids gain confidence in themselves.  They become more comfortable learning new things and performing in front of a crowd.  At KC Fire FC,  we believe a positive environment encourages players to be fearless and confident in their decisions.
